Words of Wisdom from the Babylon Bee – Why do Jehovah’s Witnesses (JW) not celebrate Christmas? Because they believe only in God, the Father.
Jehovah’s Witnesses believe Jesus was, and is, the archangel Michael, a created being. Salvation is earned through a combination of faith, good works, and obedience to their doctrine. Their evangelistic efforts going door-to-door witnessing, and their massive publication distribution through the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, are a large part of their attempt to earn their way to Heaven.
Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that their anointed class of 144k will go to heaven while all other Witnesses will be left on earth to face the Great Tribulation. Only their members will survive and remain on in paradise on earth.
The Holy Spirit is considered to be an inanimate force emanating from God. So, they consider the Trinity as blasphemy. Finally, to support their false doctrine, the JW’s have published their own bible, the New World Translation.
More details on their false teachings can be seen here and here.
