How many Christians does it take to fix a lightbulb?

None; they already see the light!

Subtitle: None; they already see the light!

Excerpt: The article stresses the importance of Christians walking in the light of Jesus, reflecting His kindness, truth, and mercy to others.

Theology on the Lighter Side – Jesus didn’t just give advice, wisdom, or moral lessons; he said, “I am the light of the world” (John 8:12). Light is not a choice for the Christian life. We trip, misjudge distance, and lose our way when there is no light. The same is true of our spirit (lowercase “s”). Without Christ, the human heart tries to make sense of the world by following incomplete knowledge and weak moral guidelines.

When Christ comes into a person’s life, He does more than show them the way; He shows them the truth about God, themselves, and the world. His light shows sin, not to make people feel guilty, but to act as our Counselor (the Holy Spirit). It reveals fear, not to judge others or ourselves, but to bring peace and repentance. It tells us where we are lost in a dark world.

For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light - Ephesians 5:8

Every day, as a Biblical Christian, you have to choose to walk in His light. It means bringing our thoughts, motives, and actions to Him instead of hiding in the dark where we feel safe. It means having faith that His light is always working toward restoration, even when it shows us things that may be uncomfortable. Darkness promises to hide things, but Christ promises to change them.

For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. - 2 Corinthians 4:6

The amazing thing about the Bible is that people who follow Jesus don’t just see the light; they start to reflect it. We become small lights in a dark world when He is with us. Kindness shines. The truth shines. Mercy is bright. And through regular faithfulness, His amazing light spreads to others.

Today, walk carefully into His light. Let it help you make choices, calm your heart, and keep you on the right path. When Christ is there, darkness never wins. His light is still shining, and it will never go out.

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. - 1 Peter 2:9
