The apostles spent three years traveling, listening, and watching Jesus. Eleven were faithful, to the degree humanly possible. However, they were not always in total “accord”. Infighting, frustration with each other and with Jesus, desires to be in His inner circle, etc. were also part of their experience.

However, upon Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection the apostles went on to proclaim Jesus as the Son of God to the end of their lives. And with the exception of John, who died of natural causes, each was killed for their unflinching beliefs in what is now Biblical Christianity.
