A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – The title and sub-title of this post comes from one who has challenged numerous aspects of the Christian life and often uses the word “tribal” to describe Biblical Christianity. As with so many having syncretism (a fusion of different religions) as their core beliefs, the narrow-mindedness of one viewpoint coming from a single source of doctrine is unacceptable. Logically, this would be true of everyone who rejects the Bible as the supreme source of understanding God.
My Response
“We live in a sin-cursed world with a sin nature and can never be sure who is speaking… assuming you believe in demons/Satan (who masquerades as an angel of light) as well as God. The only true source of God’s “speak[ing]” is through His Word. When He speaks to us in prayer, other believers, and circumstances, what we “hear” needs to be filtered through the Bible for clarity and confirmation. That is when a Biblical Christian worldview (“tribal doctrines”) become critical.”
