Quick Quote – Source – Jeff Hilles
A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – As we offer theology to new believers on the power of God to answer our prayers, we need to teach the whole complement of Scripture which includes yes, wait (which could even be past our lifetime), and no (thank God for unanswered prayers) on the subject of answered prayer. Verses such as Mark 11:24 need to be balanced with those similar to Micah 7:7, as we reconcile the truth of the whole Bible. Part of the answer is offered in James 4:3.
Mark 11:24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
Micah 7:7 But as for me, I will look to the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.
James 4:3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions.
