I am sure you have carefully outlined your goals for the new year — the money to be made, the achievements to tick off, and all the beautiful things you want to experience. That is wonderful, and I am rooting for you to succeed. Even more so, the Lord is rooting for you too.
But I hope you have not overlooked or sidelined God in your plans. Have you kept Him at the center, or did you push Him to the side? If the latter, I urge you to revisit your priorities. Your greatest goal this year should be a deeper commitment to God — to know Him as your Father, friend, guide, and everything in between.
The truth is, you can’t truly succeed without Him. Only God gives the kind of blessings that bring wealth without adding sorrow. You will only stand before earthly kings when you have first stood before the King of Kings.
I do not diminish the importance of your hard work — keep at it. Just ensure that God remains your number one priority.
Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” (Matthew 6:33)
That is the only way to secure lasting success.
You could try other means, but at what cost? You risk losing not just your peace but your soul.
So, hold on tightly to God this year, beyond everything else. Let Him guide your steps, and you will see how He will reshape your life, one day at a time.
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way.” (Psalm 37:23)
