Quick Quote – Source – Jeff Hilles
A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – The Bible would seem to be full of examples where it appears that God changes His mind, either because man is failing in his present direction or seems to be successful in presenting his arguments. But, how can one defend a supreme God who knows everything about the past, present, and future seeming to backtrack on His decisions?
God does not change His mind. instead, He intends to teach mankind an important lesson when seemingly changing His mind from our perspective. For example, the Lord told Noah to build an ark and subsequently killed all remaining humanity in the flood. God was not caught by surprise nor did He change His mind by resetting humanity. He was trying to teach future generations the significance of our sin nature. Without an acceptance of Christ as our Lord and Savior, each of us has a much worse destiny.
