Words of Wisdom from the Babylon Bee – The article begins with the following paragraph…

“U.S. — Good news, Christian! A new study shows that you have chosen the one and only completely correct branch of the Christian faith! You are one of the very few correct ones, everyone who disagrees with you is pathetically wrong, and you are one of God’s preferred children.”

America, and likely most other countries, are at best, snobs when it comes to denominational differences that all fall under the Essentials, and perhaps also Core doctrine of a Biblical Christian worldview. That worldview can be described briefly as …

Biblical Christian theology can be viewed on three levels, Essential, Core and Non-Core.

  • “Essential” is basically, “what does it take to get to Heaven.”
  • “Core” are foundational Biblical Christian beliefs and,
  • “Non-Core” is everything else … representing theological positions, from Abortion to Zion (i.e. A-Z).

“Essential” and “Core” doctrine are critical areas where Biblical Christians should be firm in their beliefs. This is true, even in areas where one may personally disagree with God since we need to recognize that our definition of what is moral and just is heavily influenced by our sin nature. God is all knowing, all powerful, without sin, and supreme. Therefore, we need to trust in His love letter to mankind (the Bible) more than our own views, clouded by the world around us. As the editor of Biblical Christian Worldview publications, all our authors agree with these fundamental principles documented in the following link.

The truth is that there are likely hundreds of Biblical Christian denominations, separated by only threads of secondary differences that have been debated over centuries of theological study. For any one denomination, church, or individual to think they fully understand the mind of God in and through His Word is ludicrous. What matters is, will your beliefs hold the key to eternal life in Heaven such that your theology will be untangled by the Creator of the universe?

That represents the “Essentials” of a Biblical Christian worldview.
