Quick Quote – Source – Anonymous Atheist

A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – One of our readers who sees Christianity through a negative lens, offered the comment above.

Interesting that the term “Fungus” is used as a broad category to describe yeast, molds, and mushrooms. According to Encyclopedia Britannica, Fungi are the “most widely distributed organisms on earth” and “are of great environmental and medical importance.”

My gracious, tongue-in-cheek response to our reader was that I totally agreed with his illustration. Like fungus, Christianity has been around for a very long time, has continued to grow, and, is of great benefit to society.

POSTSCRIPT: I received the following comment from a YouTube subscriber that was worth passing on as appropriate as well as humorous…

“Are you sure it was intended as a negative statement? Fungus are quite incredible organisms, overseeing the rebirth of organic matter on Earth, and can live or seemingly appear miraculously from conditions that nothing else can survive. It could almost be turned into a compliment!”
