Quick Quote – Source – Jeff Hilles
A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – Traditional Christian media outlets have been marginalized because they resist our woke culture (ex. CBN) and progressive Christian media has lost their constituents as they desperately try to twist theology to match the woke (ex. Christianity Today). As more and more alternatives become available, news outlets have lost viewership to social media platforms, and Christian media has not been immune from this trend. To balance the books, national media has cut back on investigative reporting and, consequently, on both sides of the political spectrum, have instead focused on delivering what their narrowing group of followers want to hear, regardless of its accuracy. This has resulted in a domino effect of increasing viewer disillusionment with traditional news sources which has further driven the public toward an even narrower subset of pundits with an even smaller budget available to ferret out the truth on any given issue. The underlying reality is that, with the exception of waning Biblical Christian media outlets, “news” has become whatever viewers want to hear.
For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, - 2 Timothy 4:3
