Bible Scholars: Paul’s Third Letter To Corinthians Was Rejected…

For Clearly Being AI-Generated

Words of Wisdom from the Babylon Bee – My take on the matter …

There are, in my view, two distinct levels when discussing the subject of Artificial Intelligence.

Nearly everyone discusses the pros and cons of AI based on today’s (or near-term) functionality, such as this Babylon Bee headline. There is a lot to discuss in this area as this technology, which can be seen as either a crutch or an enhancement depending on one’s perspective, increasingly influences our daily interactions. Sermons are written in AI, Christian songs are AI-generated, and one can go on the internet and “talk to God or Jesus” AI’s, etc. Further, and more to the point of this headline, it is becoming increasingly difficult to determine “what is real and what is Memorex,” to use a phrase that only seniors would understand. Soon we will no longer be able to discern what is real and what is computer-generated.

What is missing from current chatter on the subject of AI is a more profound look into the future of its use. If one can imagine the reason for billions of dollars being invested in US data centers and the unstoppable development of AI as a worldwide industry, there will be a time when artificial intelligence will become ubiquitous. It will be faster and more capable than any set of humans for military command and control, energy delivery, and maintaining oversight of human behavior (similar, but much more expansive, to what is happening in China and the UK). What the outcome of that will be remains to be seen, but it is an ominous reality that few are talking about.
