God Agrees To Let Trump Into Heaven…

If He Repents Of His Sin And Trusts In Jesus Christ Alone For Salvation

Words of Wisdom from the Babylon Bee – Is Donald Trump going to Heaven? A better question is, are you going to Heaven? Many, sadly, feel that we don’t even have the right to ask these questions. Is it truly enough to say Heaven and salvation is “between us and God?” Is that what Jesus teaches the believer, and will that philosophy end up well for the unbeliever?

For the believer … given the numerous Biblical passages that promote sharing the Good News, are we really just making excuses for our unwillingness to offer the hope of eternal life to another human being? This, in order to protect ourselves from being ostracized or looked down on by the majority of secular society?

For the unbeliever … are we really just not wanting to deal with the issue because we think our sin is too great, or we desire to keep it up without guilt, or perhaps because we fear, if God is real, Hell is as well?

James 2:14,17 What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him?… So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. Salvation, Heaven, the Holy Spirit within our hearts as our earthly Counselor, all come from a simple yet profound change in what we believe. And, that internal heart change results in a repentance of our sins and a new life in Christ which is obvious to all.
Romans 10:9 - If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Confession, repentance (turning away from sin) and a belief in one’s heart (not just in one’s mind) that Jesus is real and He rose from the dead is a promise that we will one day rise as well (into Heaven).

Ephesians 2:8-9 - For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

This salvation is not from our efforts or from being a good person. It comes solely from God’s grace in providing His Son as a sacrifice for our sins on the cross. It is a gift from God, again, not from our own efforts.

James 2:14,17 What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him?… So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead

And yet, even though salvation is a gift from God, it creates such a change in our lives that our behavior changes. We desire to learn more about God through His Word. We desire to be a blessing to others, not for a pat on the back, but because we desire to share the love Christ has shown us … to pass it on to those who, as yet, don’t know Him.
