A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – The holidays come and go every year. Starting with Thanksgiving and ending with New Year’s, it’s a time of fellowship, opportunity, and trepidation. Coworkers are blended together in non-business conversations, neighbors are more welcoming, church attenders have meals and get-togethers. Finally, extended families who are separated by worldviews and geographics are brought together. Workaholics, the underemployed, wayward children, and our strange Aunt Viola, all come together to celebrate. It is a time unlike any other throughout the year, where many break out of the day-to-day and become reflective of the past, present, and future.
1 Peter 3:15 – but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect,
Romans 1:16 – For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
2 Timothy 2:15 – Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.
John 6:44 – No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day.
As you celebrate this holiday season, seek out the seekers and share the eternal Good News of Jesus Christ, not just the baby, but our Lord and Savior.
