It never fails. God’s Love is right there. It’s as if you can reach out and touch it. When your passion is for Jesus, eventually, time spent in His presence is precious. This is one of the things which should motivate more prayer. Prayer brings you closer to Jesus. More prayer brings you closer and closer. We should get to that place where we guard our time with Him.
The more we go out of our way to seek His face specifically, the more we find ourselves doing the same things He did when He was here.
12 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. (John 14:12)
Here is a short but fun testimony.
A couple of days ago, during my prayer time, I asked the Lord for a blessing that day. Often, He touches me with His Spirit, which lifts me up and sets my attitude for the day. Many times, He does this without my asking. This tendency of His has taught me to keep my eyes peeled for where He is moving around me. Is there someone who needs a blessing today?
I ended up going back to sleep, satisfied with the prayer time and was prepared for the day.
At about 10:30 in the morning, I received a text from a friend I hadn’t talked to in a long time. She said that the Lord had touched her heart to bring me a meal, and she asked if I liked Beans and Ham soup. “Of course, I love Ham and Bean soup! And, wow, thanks!”
These are the things that have punctuated my wife’s and my lives. He has consistently blessed us even when we didn’t know we needed to be blessed. There have been times when I had it in my heart for a certain blessing, but later discovered it wasn’t a blessing but a dead end.
There are two blessings attached to this testimony: the blessing of the gift of a meal out of the blue and the blessing my friend will have received for recognizing His Voice and being obedient to bring the meal. Obedience always brings blessings.
